Senior Retail Manager – Roscommon

Our client a well-known successful Big Box Retail Store working across a large selection of Home, DIY, Gardening and General Merchandise is seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Retail Manager to join the business and drive the retail sales . As Store Manager you will be responsible for the commercial and operational element of the business, driving sales, margin, category, service and standards.

Based in Roscommon, this job opportunity is suited to a retail store manager from Big Box DIY, Grocery retail, in location Roscommon, Leitrim, Sligo

Key Responsibilities for the Retail Manager includes the following:

• Work closely with business partners in driving sales, service and standards across the store.
• Analyse trading reports and react accordingly in order of achieving your store KPIs, margin, and profitability.
• Identify business opportunities and work closely with your team in achieving success across all departments.
• Train, develop and mentor a strong sales team in delivering sales and building strong trade relationships.
• Ensure excellent store commercial store standards – display, price, replenishment, and department category.
• Oversee the functionality of the store to ensure annual targets.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, buying group and customers.
• Identifying business opportunities and business planning

Experience and skills required include the following:

• 3 years senior management experience in managing Big box retail in DIY or Grocery or similar.
• Experience in negotiating and building relationships with suppliers and brand partners.
• Strong commercial and operational acumen.
• A proven track record in leading a successful team within a target-driven, commercial retail environment.
• Excellent personal skills, people leadership, coaching, and training skills.
• The ability to drive sales, standards, and compliance.
• P&L management and margin management
• Hands on approach to managing and leading a Retail Business
