Retail Grocery Assistant Manager
We here in Excel Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client who is a professional retailer with two very busy supermarkets in the County Laois location. Our client is a passionate and experienced retailer himself and is known for delivering excellent standards in Fresh Foods and customer service. Our client is looking to take a step back in order to develop the business further and so he is looking to recruit an experienced Grocery Assistant Manager for his store in Co Laois. We are looking for a passionate retailer, with experience in a high volume convenience store or supermarket store, managing a team of staff and maintaining high standards in Fresh Foods. This is an excellent challenge for an experienced retailer to help grow our client’s group of stores.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Manager Job
- Ensuring the store meets its agreed budgets and targets
- Ensuring the store is kept to high standards at all times
- Report directly to the Store Manager on any store related issues
- Rostering for the store and ensuring all peak times are managed accordingly
Skills and experience required for Retail Assistant Manager job
- 3 years Management experience in a Grocery Supermarket or a retail convenience environment.
- Experience in man management of staff, performance management and rostering
- Excellent attention to detail required
- Excellent communication skills
