The purpose-built facility has been finished to the highest standard and the grounds overlook the sea. Services include both long-term and short-term care for adults with varying physical and cognitive needs. Our client is an accomplished healthcare group, adept at opening new homes and the successful candidate will be surrounded by a supportive and skilled management team. This is an ideal role for a qualified nurse looking to move into a management position, or an experienced CNM who wants a new challenge.

Clinical Nurse Manager responsibilities:

  • Oversee the provision of high-quality care to residents in accordance with guidelines
  • Effective management of staff and resources
  • Conduct regular audits of clinical metrics and safety issues
  • Carry out staff appraisals and facilitate professional development plans
  • Assess skill mix and support junior staff when required

Job requirements:

  • Active NMBI registration
  • Experience in a leadership or senior role is an advantage
  • 2+ years’ experience as a staff nurse
  • Experience in care of the older person is desirable but not essential

Responsibilities of this Clinical Nurse Manager:

  • Ensure a high standard of care is delivered, conduct clinical audits, and maintain infection control standards
  • Develop relationships with residents and their families and support new residents during their transitional to residential care
  • Regularly monitor residents baseline condition, paying close attention to any change or deterioration and managing appropriately
  • Mentor junior staff and ensure staff attend mandatory training as required
  • Delegate tasks to junior staff where appropriate

Requirements:

  • Registered with the NMBI
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Knowledge of HIQA guidelines
  • 2+ years of experience at staff nurse level or previous CNM experience

Excel Healthcare is actively recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager on behalf of our client based North Dublin. This client has recently opened a large transitional care unit which is a great opportunity to advance your career.

Our client’s focus is on reablement of patients after a stay in hospital, enabling patients to improve and maintain their independence. Patients are cared for in a state-of-the-art facility with access to a full multi-disciplinary team of nurses, healthcare assistants, dieticians, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. Our client promises a friendly and supportive work environment and the successful Clinical Nurse Manager will work alongside the ADON and report to the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities of the Clinical Nurse Manager

  • Support staff and ensure safe and professional delivery of care
  • Co-ordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Collaboration with all members of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Recognition and appropriate management of a deteriorating patient
