As a Support Worker, you will assist services users with activities of daily living, accompany them on daily outings and encourage community inclusion.This a full time Monday to Friday role.

Support Worker Responsibilities:

  • To ensure personal and intimate care is provided with privacy & dignity respected at all times.
  • Work with the service manager to help ensure that each individual is enabled to participate in day to day activities in the service which reflect their choice and interest.
  • Provide the necessary physical assistance with Patient Manual & Handling training
  • Support the development & delivery of individual care plans
  • Responsible to record & report service users progress in the service
  • Immediately report any safeguarding concerns in line with policy & legislation.
  • To be aware of safe working conditions & implement safe work practices & immediately report potential hazards, incidents & concerns.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and have a can do attitude.
  • Positively & actively engage in team meetings, supervisions, training & team events.
  • Help with the upkeep of the day service, for example general upkeep and ensuring kitchen is clean and tidy after use.

Support Worker Requirements:

  • Currently living in Ireland with a valid work visa
  • QQI relevant qualification
  • At least 1 year working in the healthcare sector.
  • Full clean driving licence and access to own car preferable but not essential
  • Excellent command of spoken & written English
  • Knowledge of HIQA standards
