Responsibilities for this Senior Staff Nurse job:
- Support the clinical nurse manage is day to day duties of the unit.
- Supervise junior staff and provide training where applicable.
- Participate in MDT meetings.
- Assist in the formulation of the unit’s procedures and procedures, as well as quality improvement and safety standards.
- Assisting residents and families with any queries they may have.
- Communicate with all staff members and visitors of the nursing home.
Requirements for this Senior Staff Nurse role:
- Active NMBI registration.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience post registration experience.
- Currently working as a Senior Staff Nurse.
- High levels of organizational and communication skills.
- A compassionate approach to patient care.
- Knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations.
- Gerontology qualification is an advantage.
