Responsibilities:

  • With a full copy of the Job Duties and Person Spec available on request you’ll assist and support the Occupational Health Advisors, carrying out screening services. You’ll also participate in health promotion programmes, audits, and other exciting projects.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Occupational Health Screening Nurse
  • Nursing qualification and NMC registration with no restrictions
  • Screening Nurse skills that will include audiometry and spirometry, drug/alcohol testing, phlebotomy, new starter screenings and referrals and consultations (face to face and telephone)
  • Excellent communication, time management and customer service skills
  • Driving licence and access to a car to meet the travel requirements

Staff Nurse

Staff Nurse

Excel Healthcare is looking for a Staff Nurse on behalf of our client in Dublin 5. This client is a large and ambitious healthcare provider, who has opened a transitional care facility on behalf of the HSE.

Patients are admitted from hospital on a short-term basis, to focus on reablement with the help of a full multi-disciplinary team. Patients may be post-stroke, post-surgery or post any acute illness. The environment is very similar to a hospital making it much more dynamic to learn and develop your clinical skills. Staff are supported and given the opportunity to progress into senior roles.

Staff Nurse responsibilities

  • Assessing patient needs and developing and implementing quality nursing care
  • Follow HIQA guidelines and maintain standards of care
  • Safe medication administration including IV therapy
  • Recognition and appropriate management and escalation of a deteriorating resident
  • Clear communication with patients and all members of the multi-disciplinary team

Staff Nurse requirements

  • Registered with the NMBI
  • Recognised nursing qualification
  • Some experience is an advantage but newly graduates are also welcome
