We, at Excel Healthcare, have partnered with one of Ireland’s leading private healthcare providers, to hire an Occupational Therapist for their new transitional care facility in Dublin 5. Our client promises a supportive and friendly work environment.

This client receives patients from Dublin’s major acute hospitals and provides short-term transitional care on behalf of the HSE. The focus is on reablement and patients are cared for in a brand new premises with state-of-the-art amenities. Our client offers a supportive and welcoming work environment, with strong clinical oversight for the Occupational Therapy department. This role presents an excellent opportunity to join a unique and fast-paced service with very competitive rates of pay on a full-time permanent contract.

Responsibilities of this Occupational Therapist job

  • Assess, plan and implement individualised patient treatment programmes
  • Work closely with the patients, their families and other MDT members to facilitate treatment planning
  • Document assessments and interventions appropriately
  • Manage patient caseload in a timely manner, prioritising tasks accordingly
  • Follow all local and HIQA standards

Requirements

  • Relevant and recognised Occupational Therapy qualification
  • CORU registered
  • Experience working as an OT in the Irish Healthcare System is desirable

The focus for patients is on reablement and Occupational Therapists play a vital role in helping patients re-learn and learn everyday skills, allowing them to become independent and return to the community. Our client offers a supportive and welcoming work environment, with strong clinical oversight for the Occupational Therapy department.

Responsibilities of this Occupational Therapist job

  • Assess, plan and implement personalized patient treatment programmes
  • Document assessments, interventions and patients progress appropriately
  • Work closely with patients, their families and other MDT members to facilitate treatment planning
  • Manage patient caseload efficiently
  • Adhere to local policies and procedures as well as legislations set out by CORU

Requirements

  • Occupational Therapy qualification
  • Active registration with CORU
  • Experience working as an OT in the Irish Healthcare System is desirable
