Responsibilities of this Assistant Manager position include:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations alongside the General Manager, ensuring service is delivered to the highest standard with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Prepare the allocation of operational budgets for review by the General Manager to meet the requirements of the contract.
  • Ensure that all financial targets and KPIs are achieved within a framework of financial control.
  • Staff training in customer service and product knowledge.

Requirements of the Assistant Manager position include:

  • Previous senior management experience in a similar role, 4/5 Star Hotels, restaurants, or contract catering.
  • Excellent interpersonal and the ability to develop relationships with stakeholders.
  • Full working knowledge on modern trends in all forms of Hospitality.
  • Up to date SOP’s and procedures both in front and back of house including audits and appraisals.
  • Full working rights in Ireland.

Operations Manager – Logistics

Excel Recruitment has an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Operations Manager based in North County Dublin.

Our client a leading Global Logistics company is seeking to recruit an experienced, professional, and ambitious Operations Manager to coordinate and oversee activities within the business. Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will assist in formulating business strategies, focus on improving overall performance whilst building relationships with internal and external customers and contractors, and ensuring compliance.

Duties will include

  • Manage a team of 5 Warehouse Supervisors and support them in managing their own large operational teams
  • Job costing and month-end reporting, SAP query management, Basware processing etc…
  • Take reasonable care of your own and other peoples Health & Safety in the workplace.
  • Report hazards in your work or in your work environment that may be putting your or anyone else’s Health & Safety at risk.
  • Ensure the team continually strive to exceed customer expectations
  • Proactively organise workflow to meet customer timeframes.
  • Prepare and distribute Customer Reports (KPI)
  • Review GP proactively and post shipment
  • Analysing statistics and data e.g. Gateway utilisation, Productivity, Overtime etc….

Requirements

  • Ambitious leader with a minimum of 5 years management experience in a similar role within the Logistics Industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in transport, supply chain, or business-related field is preferred but not essential
  • Proficiency in the logistics industry rules and regulations
  • Drive to deliver excellence with the ability to work well under pressure and deliver outcomes under tight deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and interpretative ability with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Experience interpreting financial data, allocating budgets, compiling detailed reports, etc. and presenting the same
  • Exceptional communication, listening, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to effectively resolve customer and employee issues
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to lead, motivate and encourage a diverse group to perform efficiently and to the best of their abilities whilst ensuring company goals are met
