Responsibilities for this Senior Staff Nurse job:

  • Support the clinical nurse manage is day to day duties of the unit.
  • Supervise junior staff and provide training where applicable.
  • Participate in MDT meetings.
  • Assist in the formulation of the unit’s procedures and procedures, as well as quality improvement and safety standards.
  • Assisting residents and families with any queries they may have.
  • Communicate with all staff members and visitors of the nursing home.

Requirements for this Senior Staff Nurse role:

  • Active NMBI registration.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience post registration experience.
  • Currently working as a Senior Staff Nurse.
  • High levels of organizational and communication skills.
  • A compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations.
  • Gerontology qualification is an advantage.
