Excel Healthcare are actively recruiting a Senior Staff Nurse on behalf of our client who are based in Dublin 9. Our client is an Irish Healthcare Group, and this location is north of Dublin city centre.

This residential care home has plenty of character and includes an original church building as well as a new dementia unit. There is a focus on training and development for staff, which is encouraging for those who want to progress in their nursing career. The ideal Senior Staff Nurse will have 2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting and confident in coordinating in the absence of a CNM.

Responsibilities of a Senior Staff Nurse:

  • Provide the highest standard of care to residents
  • Communicate well with both residents and other members of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Mentor and support junior staff
  • Lead the team in the absence of a CNM, where required
  • Promote best practice and maintain HIQA standards


  • 2+ years of staff nurse experience
  • Registered with the NMBI
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Knowledge of HIQA guidelines

Excel Healthcare is actively recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager on behalf of our client based North Dublin. This client has recently opened a large transitional care unit which is a great opportunity to advance your career.

Our client’s focus is on reablement of patients after a stay in hospital, enabling patients to improve and maintain their independence. Patients are cared for in a state-of-the-art facility with access to a full multi-disciplinary team of nurses, healthcare assistants, dieticians, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. Our client promises a friendly and supportive work environment and the successful Clinical Nurse Manager will work alongside the ADON and report to the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities of the Clinical Nurse Manager

  • Support staff and ensure safe and professional delivery of care
  • Co-ordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Collaboration with all members of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Recognition and appropriate management of a deteriorating patient
  • Ability to delegate tasks

Requirements for this Clinical Nurse Manager

  • Relevant nursing qualification
  • Registered with the NMBI
  • 2 years of experience as a staff nurse is beneficial
  • Leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge of HIQA guidelines
