JD Wetherspoon’s is to open another new pub in Swords, Dublin North. The new site has cost €2.8 million in redeveloping and will reside on the site of an existing pub, on Swords Main Street. The new name for the pub will be ‘The Old Borough’.
The pub will ‘specialise in real ales, as well as world and craft beers, serving a wide range of draught ales, bottles beers including those from local and regional brewers’ a spokesperson said.
The pub will be managed by Dan foster and he spoke of how his team ‘are confident that it will be a great addition to the Swords community’.
Wetherspoon’s is a popular low cost pub chain across the UK and has recently come to Dublin. They have locations in Dun Laoighaire, Blackrock and Blanchardstown. They are due to open a premise in Cork and are constantly eyeing up new Irish locations.
