Alcohol Business Developer

My client is a very successful and long standing FMCG Group who partner with all the best food, drinks and confectionery brands.

This is a really great opportunity for an experienced Alcohol Business Developer to join a new and exciting division that will focus on the sale of up-and-coming craft beers and spirits across Dublin and Leinster.

You will be the number two alongside the Business Development Manager, the face of these fantastic brands and very much part of the growth plans.

A newly created role, the Alcohol Business Developer will focus on sales and case distribution of the full portfolio to both on and off trade.

Responsibilities for the job of Alcohol Business Developer

  • Sales and store distribution of established and emerging brands into current and new customers in both on and off trade
  • Working with other Channel Directors/Account Managers, as well as other key support functions such as Finance, Marketing and Distribution
  • Developing reporting suite for the business with the Reporting & Analytics Manager and Business Manager
  • Ability to forecast accurately for all sales channels
  • The management of NPD and brand launches into the market including responsibility for sales and distribution plans and results
  • Working on pricing & margin elements, forecasting & promotions
  • Spending with customers to learn and grow knowledge and develop insight into the market, customer and consumer – circa 1 day a month
  • In trade work such as new store launches, events and tastings (from time to time this may include weekend/evening work)


  • Salary €40K-€45K negotiable depending on the level of experience
  • Bonus based on KPI’s
