Assistant Warehouse Manager job – West Dublin

Our retail client, who specialise in home décor & life style products, is looking for an Assistant Warehouse Manager. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will help to manage and lead a strong team in order to ensure excellent service is provided to their customers. The successful Assistant Warehouse Manager will come from a Retail or FMCG background. Must enjoy being a hands-on, be results-orientated and have proficient IT skills.

This is a really excellent opportunity for an Assistant Warehouse Manager looking for a new challenge. You must be operating at an Assistant Warehouse Manager level to be considered for this position.

Your day-to-day:

  • Lead the team daily to ensure assigned tasks are being followed
  • Manage colleagues start and finish times, ensure colleagues are arriving on time and finish as per their shift times
  • Communicate and provide feedback to your Manager daily
  • Responsible for the accuracy and delivery of services provided by the warehouse
  • First point of contact for any queries from the team
  • Escalate any issues in order to agree solution and follow up with your Team / Colleague
  • Responsible to ensure your team are trained to the necessary standards
  • Accountable to ensure Health and Safety procedures always
  • Ensure daily team brief meetings take place and actions followed accordingly
  • Responsible to ensure MHE checks are in place with no exceptions
  • Ensure all IT Hardware equipment is always handled with care
  • Work and actively support continuous process improvements
  • Responsible for housekeeping in all areas of the warehouse

Experience Required:

  • 2+ years proven experience of warehouse management practices in supervisory / management role in Retail or FMCG environment
  • Excellent Communications Skills (written and oral)
  • Previous experiences and knowledge of WMS / Excel and Word applications
  • Strong people Management experience
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Flexibility to meet business requirements
  • MHE Certification – Reach, Counter Balance, PPT, LLOP
  • Metrics driven approach to performance management
  • Adaptable and flexible with a positive attitude and disposition
