Chef Jobs – All Levels – Monday to Friday
Excel Recruitment are currently expanding our temporary chef team for an exciting new partnership with one of Ireland’s premier contract caterers. Joining our team will enable you to work for some of Ireland’s most recognisable brands in top quality kitchens across the country. Offering ongoing work for the desirable Monday to Friday day time shift pattern, this is an excellent opportunity for any experienced chefs to try out a vast array of fantastic sites.
Responsibilities of a Temp Chef
Prepare all food items to order within specified time limits including cakes and desserts when requested.
Portion control of meat, fish and poultry
Label all food items accordingly ensuring shelf-life, food safety and temperature standards are met
Follow HACCP procedures
Stock control of food items in your section according to specifications
Keep the kitchen area clean and sanitary – ensuring full clean down of section at the end of each shift
Temp Chef Requirements
Full-Service experience as a chef in a fast-paced kitchen – 1 year minimum
Must bring own Uniform, Knives and Safety Shoes on EVERY shift
Eligibility to work in Ireland
Conduct yourself professionally at all times, setting the standard for all team members
Be able to perform at the top level in a variety of high pressured environments
Strong communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
By law, everyone in Ireland working in the hospitality or catering industry must have valid Manual Handling and HACCP (Food Safety) certificates.
Excel Recruitment can provide these courses on site, but will accept certificates from all accredited trainers.
