Grocery Manager – Dublin

Excel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Grocery Manager to lead our Supermarket client in Dublin. As the Grocery Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing inventory, overseeing merchandising, and ensuring exceptional customer service in the grocery department.

Salary: €35 – €40k

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the grocery department, including inventory management, ordering, stocking, and merchandising
• Ensure adequate stock levels to meet customer demand while minimising waste and spoilage. Monitor inventory turnover and conduct regular stock counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, place orders, and ensure timely delivery of products
• Oversee the receiving, storing, and rotation of merchandise to maintain freshness and quality standards
• Train and supervise grocery department staff, providing guidance on product knowledge, customer service, and safety protocols

Requirements:

• Previous experience in grocery retail management, with a proven track record of success
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, staff, and vendors.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
