Healthcare Assistant

Excel Recruitment is currently looking for a kind, compassionate and enthusiastic individual to join a team of Health-care Assistants in a day service unit for adults with Physical disabilities for our client in South Dublin. The role of the care assistant will be to deliver a high standard of care to service users. This is a chance to make a real difference in an individual’s life while also progressing in your career. This Care assistant position is a Monday to Friday temporary role, with the opportunity to gain a lot of experience and be a part of a dedicated team.

Responsibilities of this Healthcare Assistant include, but are not limited to:

• Assist service users with activities of daily living
• To take direction from Senior staff, and carry out assigned tasks to the best of your ability
• Ability to work on your own initiative
• Ongoing communication and teamwork

The Requirements of this Healthcare Assistant:

• Excellent communication skills
• Working towards a QQI/ Fetac level 5 is desirable
• Experience with special needs (desirable)
• IRP card (if a non-EU citizen) required
• Relevant Certificates needed
• Patient manual Handling – this can be obtained through Excel Recruitment if needed
