Head of Learning & Development Dublin

I am currently seeking an experienced HR L&D Manager to join my clients business on a permanent role. This is a great opportunity to work with a large organisation that is a major player in the foodservice industry. This highly established food organisation has over 100 units across Ireland and employs over 1100 staff in many different departments.
We have an exciting opportunity to join my clients Head office team as the Learning and Development Manager. Reporting to the Director of HR and L&D, the role of L&D Manager is to develop the companies L&D strategy ensuring it aligns with the overall strategic business direction. As L&D Manager you will work in the HR department in head office and have a team of 2 as training coordinators.

Key Responsibilities for this L&D job Include:

  • Support the development of High-Performance Culture through learning, coaching and mentoring
  • Ensure strategy is informed from best in class L&D thinking
  • Champion the businesses Ethos and Core Competencies personally and through L&D
  • Provide a framework to develop people to enhance their skills, improve performance and job satisfaction
  • Develop and implement Accredited Training to support the development of Chef & Management skills
  • Conduct training needs analysis throughout the company to ensure a comprehensive understanding of L&D needs
  • Develop innovative, cost-effective solutions to meet those needs
  • Personally deliver training including Food Safety, Regulatory Compliance, Customer Service and Management programmes
  • Review all training policies and procedures
  • Evaluate the L&D activities in line with validated Return on Investment models
  • Provide expert and profession advise and support to Management and Employees in line with employment legislation and company policies and procedures
  • Work with HR & Management to identify and develop talent in the business
  • Set and gain agreement on the annual budget and monitor expenditure
  • Support the mobilisation process as and when a new unit is being commissioned or decommissioned
  • Ensure all work carried out id in compliance with the required standards, Food Safety, Health & Safety, Environmental and regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Learning & Development Qualification
  • 5 plus years experience in L&D role
  • Certified Food Safety Trainer and Manual Handling Trainer
  • Degree & Post Graduate in Human Resources or Business subject
