Are you an experienced Restaurant Manager looking for more of a work-life balance? We now have a fantastic opportunity available where daytime hours are required with no late evenings or nights.

The role is ideally suited to an efficient energetic person who enjoys the combination of staff management/customer service and of course, has a passion for ensuring a top-quality food offering is available. This post holder will need to have a good line of communication with the head chef and work collaboratively regarding hot food counter staffing & food offerings. As the Restaurant Manager, you will be the first point of contact for matters relating to the day-to-day running of the business as well as the escalation point for any customer service or staffing-related issues.

Requirements for a Restaurant Manager:

  • Management experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hotel environment for 2+ years.
  • Proven experience in staff management including recruitment, rostering, and taking responsibility for day-to-day operations.
  • Proven experience in cash management, stocktaking and budget preparation, and payroll.
  • Proficiency in the use of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Applicants must be able to exhibit detailed knowledge of food service and current dietary trends, supported by relevant qualifications/accreditation’s (including HACCP).

Responsibility for a Restaurant Manager:

  • The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and have demonstrated the ability to deal with staff at all levels, customers, suppliers, and other individuals encountered in the natural course of business.
  • The successful candidate will have a passion for working in the food and beverage industry and have demonstrated a keen interest in self and staff development and a proactive approach to ongoing learning.
  • Strong motivational skills are a prerequisite for the role to ensure a healthy working environment for staff where motivation and staff development are key components.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to staff well-being in the workplace are essential.
