Excel Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Senior Staff Nurse for one of our clients based just a few kilometres away from Dublin City. This full-time permanent contract within a purpose-built, small nursing home offers flexible shifts and will suit anyone living in South Dublin City suburbs.

If you are passionate about care for the elderly, have numerous years of experience and are currently working as a Senior Staff Nurse but are looking for a change – this could be the perfect job for you!

Responsibilities for this Senior Staff Nurse job:

• Support the clinical nurse manage is day to day duties of the unit.
• Supervise junior staff and provide training where applicable.
• Participate in MDT meetings.
• Assist in the formulation of the unit’s procedures and procedures, as well as quality improvement and safety standards.
• Assisting residents and families with any queries they may have.
• Communicate with all staff members and visitors of the nursing home.

Requirements for this Senior Staff Nurse role:

• Active NMBI registration.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience post registration experience.
• Currently working as a Senior Staff Nurse.
• High levels of organizational and communication skills.
• A compassionate approach to patient care.
• Knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations.
• Gerontology qualification is an advantage.
