Health and Safety Officer

Health and Safety Officer required to join a busy construction company on residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out Site Safety audits (Scoring version) at least once a week on all sites responsible for
  • Advise site management on Health & Safety (Rules & Regulations)
  • Co-ordinate training for site safety for site staff
  • Carry out safety training on site.
  • Report to Contracts Manager daily.
  • Report to Environmental Health & Safety Manager as required.
  • Carry out risk assessments as required.
  • Review and assist in producing method statements as required.
  • Hold regular site safety meetings with all sub-contractors on sites responsible for on a weekly basis.
  • The use of subcontractors on site to ensure that their work activities are co-ordinated to ensure the safety of all persons on site.
  • Monitor all health and safety activities on the project and report the findings to the Contracts Manager.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a construction environment
  • Ideally you will have gained experience working on a wide range of projects.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and strong interpersonal skills.

RGII Boiler Maintenance Technician

Excel Recruitment are currently recruiting for a RGII Boiler Maintenance Technician. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent technical skills and proven experience in all aspects of Gas Boilers, HVAC Units, other gas related and plumbing services. This role is based in Dublin and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities:

  • Typically, the candidate will be expected to undertake and assist with the following duties:
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance on Commercial, Hospital, Healthcare Sites
  • Ensure that the work complies with site safety protocols and quality control standards.
  • Comply with all EHSQ policies and procedures as required.
  • Liaise with the service desk and respond to all non-technical and technical queries in a timely manner to ensure conformance with the relevant Service Level Agreement.
  • Maintain an internal ‘Best Practice’ regime and encourage continuous improvements.
  • Provide cover to sites for out of hours situations on a rotational basis.

Requirements:

  • Relevant trade qualification and/or third level qualification essential
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role essential
  • Strong Boiler fault finding is essential.
  • Good communication skills
  • RGII Licence / Safepass
  • OFTEC Certification an advantage but not necessary
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within strict deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of HVAC plant and controls
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Plumbing & heating experience required.

HVAC Engineer
